Share Your Time With DUHC as a Volunteer

We have a number of specific projects that we're working on that we can outline for you and we're always open to hearing what you would like to work on. November 2008 Volunteer Opportunities

Event Planning & Coordination

Love putting on a good party or event? We have several events coming up that could use your touch:
*Tuesday, November 18th - Hum Indy Biz Alliance Hosts Forum With Author Stacey Mitchell - volunteers needed to help with promotion, set-up and clean-up

*Friday, November 21st - Houseparty in Southern Humboldt - volunteers needed with promotion, set-up and clean-up

*Sunday, December 14th - Humboldt Exchange Annual Winter Craft Exchange & Cookie Trade - volunteers needed with promotion, set-up and clean-up

Project Volunteer Meetings

*Humboldt Exchange: Open Meetings are the last Monday of every month from 7pm to 8:30pm. Contact us for details - info@HumboldtExchange.org.

*HSU Campus Club: Mondays at 11am in the Karshner Lounge outside the Kate Buchanan Room. Contact Teri for more details at hsuclub@duhc.org.

*Humboldt County Independent Business Alliance Project: First and third Tuesday of every month. Contact us for further details - info@HumIBA.org.

Mail Stuffing Party - Saturday, November 22nd
We know some folks like to enjoy a good conversation over a box of envelopes and mailing supplies. Is this you? We'll be sending our 2008 Year End report and fundraising letter to our entire list in November and we'll need a big crew to help stuff envelopes and stick labels on Saturday, November 22, all day (you can just take a few hour shift or be on the really hardcore team and block out the whole day).

We always call this a party because we feed you, play music, have good conversation and fun! Doesn't it sound just like a party?

And as always and ongoing, Office Help
Come in for open hours and help with mailings and data entry or the product of the day. If you're looking for a good busywork task (we know there are folks out there who like this kind of stuff!) this is for you. Did we mention we have punch and pie? Mondays 9:30-11am
Tuesdays 4:30-8pm
Wednesdays 2:30-6pm
